While performing pest control services in Nampa, Idaho in the Hunter’s Point Subdivision, we saw a sight that compels many people to leap onto their couches and to throw shoes: A Hobo spider!
Sometimes referred to as the aggressive house spider, hobo spiders are common in the Boise area. The hobo spider is typically brown to light brown, hairy, fast, and has two boxing glove-type polyps that protrude from the front of the body. Tiny “chevron” should markings are found on its back. Hobo spider bites result in a necrotic lesion that essentially kills the tissue surrounding the bite that is very painful and severe. This sweet little spider was dispatched quickly.
Thanks to an exterior and an inside treatment, this guy or his friends won’t bother this customer again!
