The house fly

The House Fly and other filth flies can become nuisance pests, but also are important for their potential to harm humans and animals. House flies, for example, can spread bacteria and diseases; like food poisoning or dysentery.

The habits of filth flies are certainly annoying.  Buzzing around your head and landing on your food is enough to drive some crazy.  It is even worse when it takes place at a commercial location, restaurateurs all around can attest to the fact that Flies and customers don’t mix well.  Not only can they be annoying, but they can and often do cause the spread of bacteria and other disease-causing organisms. Filth flies, like the common House Fly often feed and lay eggs on garbage, manure and dead animals before contaminating human foods and food preparation surfaces by landing on them. When feeding, house flies regurgitate their stomach contents onto food to liquefy it before ingesting it. They also may contaminate food and surfaces by defecating on them.  Safe, effective pest control treatments are available; give us a call for more information!

Mosquitoes are a family of small, midge-like flies: the Culicidae. Although a few species are harmless or even useful to humanity, most are a nuisance because they consume blood from living vertebrates, including humans. In feeding on blood, various species of mosquitoes transmit some of the most harmful human and livestock diseases. Some authorities argue that mosquitoes are the most dangerous animals on Earth.

Mosquitoes breed in standing water & in marshy areas, and can reproduce quickly.  Regular perimeter treatments coupled with avoiding standing water and good landscape practices can reduce populations to a manageable level.
