Doing pest control during Halloween is always a fun time for all kinds of cheesy jokes. Spider webs galore. Easy fodder for a simple blogging mind. Case in point:
However, as things start to cool off during the fall, spider activity ramps up. In the same way that summer heat forces spiders and insects indoors, fall/winter cold does the same, particularly with spiders.
An increase of spider web activity both indoors and out is common in the fall. Spiders like to cozy themselves up to the warm thermal mass that is your house or landscaping.
Remember to keep landscaping plants trimmed and properly cared for, and to clean up all refuse around your house to reduce harborage. Sweep down any spiderwebs that you see, or have your pest control service do so for you. Make sure that you also continue to do regular exterior perimeter treatments to keep them at bay!
