The key to a successful treatment is regular application. When applied regularly, a professional pest control treatment is perfect for preventing pests from trying to get into our homes.
Over time pesticides will lose their effectiveness; this happens when the product starts to break down, changing its chemical composition into a product that may no longer have active properties. Many of us may have a reason for wanting to push out a treatment now and then; this could be anything from the weather, financial or health reasons, or travel.
One important thing to remember is that it will not be effective if you do not have your treatment applied regularly. Each time you give the bugs a chance to make their way back, it’s likely that they will reproduce, and then you have to start the whole process all over again. When you skip winter treatments because you don’t think there are bugs out and about, this results in a significant pest issue in the spring.
We encourage our customers to have their treatment applied every 90 days because this is how long the product is effective. Please don’t try and push out a scheduled treatment because you are not having problems with bugs; you are not having issues with bugs because of your treatments; as soon as you stop and the product starts to break down, they will be back.
Remember, the key to success is regularly applied treatments, so if you need help or have any questions, please give Barrier Pest Control a call at 208-463-4533 Monday – Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm for assistance.
