Mud Dauber nests are almost always found it seems near a front entry. Why? I haven’t the foggiest! Check this one out that I found the other day in Boise:
Mud Daubers, like other Hornets, Yellow Jackets, or wasps, like to build their nests in areas out of the weather, and front entries are almost always protected. This one happens to be one of the more intricate ones I’ve ever seen. Like I’ve always said, pest control is mostly about consistency, and that is what is needed with these pesky critters. Regular pest inspections and treatments are a must when dealing with these wasps.
