I’m not going to lie. I like reality TV. Well most of it. There are a few things I can do without though. For instance, I don’t need anyone to tell me there’s only one rose left. I can count. I done learned numbers a long time ago. And I can do without watching people eat things that were never meant for human consumption. Like when Bear Grylls ate this Zambian grub and I actually threw up in my mouth because- well actually, I’m not going to tell you what happened because I like you (and I don’t want to relive that spine crawling, nauseating, brush your teeth and squirm all over the place moment.) If you really want to know, you can Youtube it.
Enter my idea of a pest fest. Do you see the difference between Bear’s face and our friend Chris’s face? This is the kind of pest eating I can do! And it’s healthy and tasty and a fun project for your kiddos.
They are SO easy. Let me walk you through the steps of making a millipede snack so you can have your own “survivor” meal.
Materials Needed:
- Peanut butter or cream cheese
- Various fruit and/or veggies
- Candy eyes
Steps:
Step one: Spread cream cheese or peanut butter inside of a celery stalk.
Step two: Put various fruit or veggies on top to make the body of the millipede.
Step three: Attach a couple eyes to the end, to make a cute little face you don’t mind biting into.
That’s it! Three steps. And you won’t cringe or hyperventilate when you eat it!
