Unveiling the Best of PestWorld 2019: Barrier Pest Control Takeaways!

At Barrier Pest Control, we’ve always prided ourselves on being at the forefront of pest control innovation and best practices. To ensure we’re always offering our clients the best, we made our way to sunny San Diego for the renowned PestWorld 2019 in October. And what an experience it was!

From Idaho to the World Stage

For two years running now, we’ve been flying the Idaho flag high at PestWorld, the annual convention organized by the National Pest Management Association (NPMA). Though our heart remains in our beloved Idaho. PestWorld provided us with insights, innovations, and international perspectives.

Global Presence, Local Essence

PestWorld 2019 witnessed participation from an impressive 137 countries! While this gave us the chance to understand global pest issues, we felt immense pride in representing Idaho. We even had the privilege, thanks to the Idaho Pest Management Association and our very own board member Kirk, to voice the concerns and experiences of our state’s board.

Gleaning Insights from the Trade Show

Among the cacophony of product displays and service demos, a buzzword that truly caught our attention was “remote monitoring”. This tech-driven solution promises to monitor or trap pests like roaches, bedbugs, or mice and provide real-time updates to the pest control agency. Such innovations, though slightly pricier upfront, could revolutionize our industry. Imagine a Boise hotel or home getting real-time alerts about a potential bedbug situation and being able to nip it in the bud! As for when and how Barrier Pest Control in Boise plans to implement this? Stay tuned; we’ll keep you posted!

Bonding Over Bugs: The Power of Networking

The convention wasn’t just about products; it was also about people. Rubbing shoulders with other pest control aficionados gave us a treasure trove of business insights. While we share strong bonds with our peers in Boise, sometimes, a national platform like PestWorld facilitates a more open exchange of ideas. Learning about unique pest problems from other regions only made us more appreciative of our work environment in Idaho.
