Barrier Pest Control is hiring a Pest Control Technician in Mountain Home to support homeowners throughout Elmore County and the surrounding region. This role serves neighborhoods including Airbase Road area, Desert Sage, Legacy Park, Frontier Estates, Rolling Hills, and Downtown Mountain Home, as well as nearby communities such as Glenns Ferry, Hammett, Bruneau, and the Mountain Home Air Force Base community.

Position Overview
We are hiring a Pest Control Technician to serve our expanding customer base in Mountain Home and across Elmore County. This hybrid role combines field service, customer education, and sales—ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and helping homeowners solve pest problems.
You will inspect homes, perform treatments, and recommend ongoing protection plans that keep Mountain Home families pest-free throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Local Sales
Educate homeowners throughout Mountain Home—especially in neighborhoods like Desert Sage, Rolling Hills, Frontier Estates, Legacy Park, and Downtown Mountain Home—about pest activity, treatment options, and prevention strategies.
Recommend seasonal pest protection programs such as rodent control, spider treatments, mosquito protection, and preventative pest services.
Build long-term relationships with homeowners by delivering dependable, friendly service.
Follow up on customer inquiries and secure new service agreements along your daily route.
Technical / Service Duties
Perform pest control services across Mountain Home, Mountain Home Air Force Base, Glenns Ferry, Hammett, and Bruneau.
Inspect structures for pest activity, entry points, moisture issues, and environmental conditions that attract pests.
Apply treatments using company equipment and safety procedures.
Accurately document services, products used, and follow-up recommendations in the company CRM.
Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle while operating across Mountain Home neighborhoods including Desert Sage, Rolling Hills, Frontier Estates, and the Airbase Road area.
Team & Operations
Coordinate with the Mountain Home office team to manage service routes and respond to customer needs.
Participate in regular training to maintain Idaho pest control licensing and professional development.
Support local outreach and community events that strengthen Barrier Pest Control’s presence in Elmore County.
Qualifications
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Motivated to earn commissions through honest, educational sales.
Comfortable managing a daily route across Mountain Home and surrounding communities.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving history.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
Willing to obtain Idaho pest control licensing (training provided).
Sales or pest control experience helpful but not required.
