Position Overview
We are hiring a Pest Control Sales Technician to serve our growing customer base in Boise. This hybrid role blends service, customer education, and sales—ideal for someone who enjoys being outdoors, solving problems, and connecting with homeowners.
You will diagnose pest issues, provide treatments, and recommend ongoing protection plans that help Boise families stay safe and pest-free. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction and strengthens our reputation as one of the most trusted pest control companies in the Boise area.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Local Sales
Educate homeowners throughout Boise—especially in neighborhoods like Harris Ranch, Boise Bench, North End, West Boise, Warm Springs Mesa, Highlands, and Columbia Village—about pest activity, treatment options, and prevention strategies.
Identify opportunities to promote seasonal services (e.g., Boise Christmas lights installation, rodent protection, mosquito control, and warm-season pest treatments).
Build trust with customers by providing consistent, friendly service that reflects Barrier Pest Control’s high standards in Boise and its surrounding cities.
Follow up on customer inquiries and secure new service agreements along your daily route.
Technical / Service Duties
Perform high-quality pest control services for homes and businesses across Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Garden City, Kuna, and Star.
Inspect structures for pest activity, entry points, moisture issues, and environmental conditions.
Use company tools, protective equipment, and materials safely and professionally.
Accurately record services, chemicals used, and follow-up notes in the CRM.
Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle while operating in Boise neighborhoods such as Harris Ranch, North End, Boise Bench, Collister, Hidden Springs, Southeast Boise, and West Boise.
Team & Operations
Work closely with the Boise office team to coordinate routes and respond to customer needs.
Participate in regular training to maintain Idaho pest control licensing and professional development.
Support community events and promotions that help strengthen our presence across Boise, Meridian, and Eagle.
Qualifications
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Motivated to earn commissions through educational, no-pressure sales.
Comfortable working independently and managing a daily route across Boise neighborhoods and nearby cities.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
Willing to obtain Idaho pest control licensing (training provided).
Sales or pest control experience is helpful but not required.
