It’s spring break! Do your kids need something to do? How about helping them make some cute little beetles they can use as hand puppets? Who knew beetles could be cute!? These are simple and fun for your kiddos to make and they only take about 10 minutes!
Supplies needed:
- 1 black piece of construction paper
- 1 colorful piece of construction paper
- Tape or glue
- Scissors
- 8 1×5-6 inch strips of paper
- 1 1 1/2×6-8 inch strip of paper
- Marker/Sharpie
- Googly eyes
Step 1: Using the black piece of construction paper, cut out the shape of the body and head.
Step 2: Trace the bottom half of the body onto the bright color paper and cut out.
Step 3: Cut a triangle in the bottom of the wings.
Step 4: Tape or glue it to the body cut out, at the neck.
Step 5. Fold the 8 strips of paper accordion style.
Step 6: Tape or glue the folded legs onto the back of the body.
Step 7: Tape or glue the 6-8 inch strip across the back of the body as a handle.
Step 8: Glue on googly eyes.
Step 9: Using a marker or Sharpie, decorate with stripes, polk-a-dots etc.
Step 10: Enjoy!
